In a landscape of economic and cultural inequity, the very effort to claim a place as one’s home becomes subversive activity.
The Homing series began in 2015 pursuing these lines of inquiry:
- Objects of belonging.
- Language of belonging.
- Navigating the politics of belonging, utilizing the pitched roof house as a globally recognizable icon representing home.
Homing Project is sponsored by Intersection for the Arts.
Intersection for the Arts provides Bay Area based artists and arts organizations with resources, community and cultural space in order to develop sustainable practices.
